Koufu has come a long way in the past 10 years to attain our current achievements. All these would not have been possible without the commitment and perseverance of our staff­. Many of them grew together with the company and in return, they have also contributed significantly to the growth of the company. The theme of our 10th anniversary celebration clearly emphasises the importance of these people and their contributions. We would like to take this meaningful opportunity to express our heartfelt appreciation especially to our long serving staff­ for their continuous faith in Koufu.

Koufu is a learning organisation. It has allowed me to learn and grow along the way, providing me with many platforms to realise my potential. It has also been a fruitful journey.

There were many moments during meetings and trainings where Mr Pang Lim, founder of Koufu, was sharing his stories with us. Those were his rich experience from his life and his personal principles. He is fair to each and every individual and will always remind his staff to stay away from alcohol and smoking, in order to lead a healthy and meaningful life.

I gained rich management skills and theories from Mr Pang. Some examples of his wisdom includes “stay close to your principles but stay flexible”, “no matter what you are, what matters is your ability to meet your task”, “there is always space for improvement” and “it is important to mentor, supervise, monitor and check.” He also provides us with his daily wisdom, shared with us during our daily “coffee talk”, cascading his values.

Mrs Pang has also been another strong support. She constantly encourages us, helped us, guiding us to achieve our fullest potential. Koufu’s “warriors” are well-trained in the battle ground, and we are expected to learn to manage tough situations.

I appreciate Koufu for providing me an avenue to realise my dreams. I wish Koufu a happy anniversary in 2012. We have achieved a lot for the past 10 years but we can definitely be better!

Lim Shyun Meei

Time flies. This is the tenth year since I joined Koufu in 2002 and it is also Koufu’s 10th anniversary.

As a member that joined the company during its “infancy” stage, I witnessed how Koufu successfully transformed from its first food court located in Toa Payoh block 500 into an organisation currently owning about 60 outlets. I felt a sense of fulfilment to be able to grow from strength to strength with the company.

As a senior member of the team, it is my responsibility to enhance our strong service-orientated culture. I will always be faithful towards my role and responsibilities, to contribute as a constructive force to spearhead Koufu’s rapid developmental momentum.

Lastly, I like to wish our company many glorious years of business development ahead!

10 years is just a short journey in one’s life, but through it I have witnessed Koufu’s transformation from birth to the developmental stage and then to its current achievements. I had the privilege to join Koufu in December 2002. Throughout the years, I witnessed how the company developed and grew, and personally experienced the different emotional stages. Looking back at the past years, we started with only about ten staff, but today we employ a total of more than a thousand staff and our business has spread beyond Singapore. Each and every one of us is proud of our outstanding achievements thus far. As a long serving staff of the company, I feel proud and touched to be a part of its success, enjoying my role in the purchasing department and contributing to the growth of Koufu. I gained a great deal along the way, appreciating our culture and our professional attitude and team spirit.

For the past 10 years, I have been through many significant moments. There were contributions and rewards, happiness and joy, growth and improvements. I believe our effort will be paid in one way or another. I gained my rich experience, raising our standards progressively, building a stronger foundation for our future journey. Let us all join our forces to bring Koufu to the pinnacle of our local food and beverage industry. Lastly, I wish that Koufu will continue to progress steadily in the years to come and shine in its most unique way.
